Today is my mom's birthday and I wish I could be there to celebrate with her. I don't think I've been home for her birthday in 7 years. But this is definitely the furthest away I've been. The good thing is we spent lots of time together before I left.
We went to Michigan and visited her sister and mom.
Thanks to the Chicago blizzard we even got snowed in together! To pass the time she baked the best cookies and muffins EVER (can you tell it's been a couple weeks since I've had baked goods?). She also shoveled 2 feet of snow off the front porch. What did I do? I ate the cookies and took pictures of her shoveling.
My mom's amazing and I miss her a ton.
